What is Conductive Education?

Conductive Education (CE) is a system of learning that has been developed for groups of individuals with motor disorders.

It is a learning process, not a treatment or therapy and also a partnership between the educator (The Conductor – teacher) and the learners; it involves learning and development of movement, speech and mental ability together, not separately.

Our Conductive Educational Program

It includes everything that characterises a healthy child’s everyday life from meal times and hygiene to play and learning. The program include all physical, intellectual and social requirements needed for developing an integrated, healthy personality. The concept of Conductive Education is that gaining information and receiving ethical, emotional and aesthetic education are not separate but highly interrelated processes.

The Conductor-teacher

The conductor – teacher is the professional who delivers the program. Conductors have an intensive, four year University – Based “hands on” professional training where they learn how to observe each person’s performance and modify the Conductive Education program and timetable according to their needs. The conductor – teacher is responsible for the initial assessment, organization, delivery of the Conductive Education program also the creation of situations that encourage learning and problem solving.
